The country of Morocco is located on the northwest tip of Africa. It has a coastline on the Atlantic Ocean and Morocco weather can be affected by several things. The three main factors which affect the weather in the country of Morocco are its latitude, the Atlantic Ocean and the hotter desert winds from the Sahara. The climate is classified as Mediterranean in the north part of the country.
Though most of the country will experience Mediterranean weather, maritime temperate climate can also be seen. After you pass the Atlas Mountains, however, it can be a bit more arid with desert landscapes. The Draa Valley is full of sand dunes, oases and rocky desert landscapes.
